Default English word list

Alright so, I took the default database from there https://skribbliohints.github.io/ and with the help of html, I extracted the words to a list separated by commas. It's useful when you want to translate those words into your native language.
Word of advice, when using google translate, do not put all words at once there, it can rapidly worsen the translation.
(And there is a last thing. Their algorithm of picking only custom words is not working really good, at least for me. Meaning that I often get duplicates, despite having a list this big and without duplicates. I'm still trying to find some solution to this, so if somebody is experiencing this as well, share the knowledge please, I will do the same.)
SOLUTION: Thanks for the reply from PepegaWR who identified the cause. I also tested it and there seems to be a custom words limit of 5000 characters. The easiest way in my opinion is to shuffle the words before each session to minimize the impact. Also thanks to the flynger who had the same idea before me :)
Finally, here it is, enjoy the scribbling ^^ :

Playkey is looking for miners on a commercial basis

We are ready to scale up our decentralized cloud gaming platform and are inviting miners to join us on a commercial basis. Based on our estimations, owners of mining hardware will be able to make up to six times more money from renting out hardware for gaming instead of mining.
Mining crypto currency with GPU farms is no longer as profitable as it used to be. Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin and other currencies are also falling in popularity. Whattomine.com estimates that a single mining machine can generate up to $15/month, whereas with Playkey once you go through the approval process we would pay you $50/month for a similarly spec’d machine.
This will greatly benefit players, as it allows to lower the gaming latency, especially for the Eastern Russia. We plan to connect miners across Russia as well as other countries, so that players would no longer have to worry about the location of the main data centers.
In order to participate in the commercial testing miners should fill in the application at https://playkey.io/en/miners/. Afterwards, the instructions on how to join will be sent out to the email provided.
How much, when and how you will get paid for renting out your PC:
  1. During the beta stage the reward is $50 per virtual machine (for a 30 day period).
  2. We pay the reward after 30 days of your machine being connected to the service.
  3. The payout options are diverse and you can choose one according to your preferences and legal status. Here are the options:
  1. In order to receive your reward and request a payout, email us at support_[email protected] after 30 days of being connected to Playkey. Use “Payout request” as your email subject.
  2. A stand-alone PC
  3. Minimal requirements:
  1. An 8 Gb flash drive for the initial unfolding
  2. Wired 50 Mb/s or faster Internet connection
  3. HDMI dummy plug or a connected HDMI display.
This is an open beta test, so there is a chance that some unexpected situations may occur. We will work out solutions as we go. After all, we could be the very first decentralized cloud gaming platform that enables users to rent out their hardware and get paid for it. This is a challenging task as much as it is something to be proud of. Let’s figure it out together. Join us!

In light of the upcoming Dark Harvest nerfs, Riot really needs to reevaluate Kha'Zix...

We can all agree these upcoming Dark Harvest changes have completely undermined the idea of what Kha'Zix's role as a unique assassin should be. With that understood we have to question where Riot will be taking him next..
I've come to the conclusion that these nerfs, not only are they completely crippling to our favorite bug, but they're too crippling and that's the thing.. These nerfs are so large that it leads us to believe they're working on an upcoming REWORK, yeah you heard that right, rework. Not only will they aim to rebalance Kha'Zix as a champion but add back his unique identity as an assassin, so without further ado let's get into the proposed balance changes.

Passive

This might come across like too large of a buff at first but when you consider the state Kha'Zix will be left in after these Dark Harvest nerfs you'll be wishing Riot added back the 50% Damage reduction back to his Evolved R to compensate. Tuning the damage numbers up slightly while applying the passive proc to his abilities will add back in a much needed punch to his lacking early game power. Lastly let's look at the scaling IQ damage, not only will this reward players who are more intelligent but it'll also give something that less intellectually gifted players can strive for as well.

Q

  • Taste Their Fear - (New) Kha'Zix slashes the target enemy's self esteem, dealing physical AND emotional damage, increased by 150% against targets who are socially isolated or suffer from symptoms of depression.
  • Evolved Taste Their Fear - Kha'Zix gains 50 range on his basic attacks and all of his abilities. If the target is isolated, apply the debuff "Crippling Depression", which will slow the target by 100% for the duration of the game.
Now this change might catch people off-guard a bit but trust me it'll make more sense once I explain it fully. Kha'Zix's Q has been fundamentally flawed since the rework done in early 2017, and we can all agree it's a vast downgrade compared to the old Q (BONUS DAMAGE WITH Q EVO ANYONE?). Replacing the very brainless cooldown refund with a debuff now adds a whole new layer to the champions kit. Not only will you be able to identify and target vulnerable champions, but you'll also be able to punish them for having a weak mentality as well. With this change you will truly be able to solo carry like season 6 again.

W

  • Void Spike - (New) Kha'Zix fires a cluster of spikes in a line that detonates and installs a bitcoin miner directly onto the target's computer, slowing it by 80%. Kha'Zix gains 100 bonus gold (stacking up to 500) for each PC affected.
  • Evolved Void Spike - Void Spike now fires in the shape of a Flash Drive and instantly crashes the PC of the enemy hit (Note: on EUW this will also cause their PC to explode). Isolated targets hit by Evolved Void Spike also have their accounts deleted entirely.
This is one of the more ambitious changes as it introduces some gameplay mechanics that could be labeled as "unfair", but with champions like Akali, Zoe, Irelia, Aatrox, Kai'Sa, and Yasuo in the game, these changes might not be as extreme as you might think. The addition of a bitcoin miner being applied onto a champions ability might seem too far but when you look at Kha'Zix's kit as a whole, you'll be quick to notice that his kit is lacking in terms of utility. Nothing brings more utility to a team composition than being able to make every fight a 5v4 or a 5v3, need I say more?

E

  • Leap - (Buff) Kha'Zix leaps to the target location, dealing physical damage to nearby enemies upon landing and executes enemies below 50% health.
  • Evolved Leap - Leap becomes a global ability and its cooldown is reset on enemy champion or minion takedowns.
Leap has always been Kha'Zix's bread and butter ability and has survived untouched throughout each iteration of Kha'Zix throughout the years so we'll be keeping this one relatively the same with a few minor tweaks to keep him inline with some of the newer champion's kits.

R

  • Void Assault - Passive - (Unchanged) Each rank in Void Assault allows Kha'Zix to evolve one of his abilities, granting it additional effects.
  • Void Assault - Active - (Unchanged) Kha'Zix enters invisibility for 1.5 seconds, acquiring Unseen Threat, gaining 40% bonus movement speed, and ghosting while stealthed. After 2 seconds of leaving stealth, and for the next 10 seconds, Void Assault can be cast a second time at no additional cost.
  • Evolved Void Assault - (New Effect) [Warning] Kha'Zix gains Void Assault for 3 seconds in brush, which lingers for 1.5 seconds after exiting the brush. This can only be triggered while out of combat and there is a 10-second per-brush cooldown.
Out of all of the proposed changes this one seems the most unlikely as it could easily be seen as overpowered in today's metagame. Not much needs to be said about this one as the inherent brokenness of the ability speaks for itself.
In conclusion, while Kha’Zix’s evolution mechanic promises the ability to tailor your decisions to the game at hand, the balance of power between options has made that promise a difficult one to keep. For pre-season, it would be a great idea to retool KZ’s evolutions by playing up his other unique mechanic: Isolation. While you’re welcome to still just evolve wings first (because it’s sweet), we’re pushing more of Kha’Zix’s power into stalking Isolated targets rather than overwhelming them. This focuses his decisions less on which give Kha’Zix the most damage potential and instead on which will help him hunt his prey game to game. Thanks for reading everyone!

TL;DR Kha'Zix will be extremely underpowered after upcoming Dark Harvest nerfs and needs major buffs to compensate

Survivors of market disasters: In this disaster, some people actually made money

There is no need to repeat the tragic market. Various historical figures are present, and they all reveal a signal: this disaster is like an earthquake with no warning signs. The victims are everywhere, and the survival is a fluke.
But in this disaster, there are still people who make money.
If you still have the impression, on August 23 of last year, there was a problem with Amazon AWS 'server in Japan, which caused the products using the region's services to be affected to varying degrees, including the cryptocurrency trading platform. After discovering a problem with Binance using AWS, the user's deposit and withdrawal were suspended, but the trading platform using the Binance Quotation API failed to take timely measures, resulting in loopholes in market makers' strategies.
That day, while Bitcoin was still steadily maintained at 10,000 USD, some users bought Bitcoin at a unit price of 0.32 USD, and when there was almost no fluctuation in the market, they used the mistake of the server to add western food for the night. A bottle of champagne.
In this disaster after 5 months, some people still use the environment to find a way to survive.
Ethereum 0 dollar purchase?
A $ 0 purchase of Ethereum happened on March 13. The market plummeted, many mortgagors' positions were exploded, and ETH fell from $ 180 to less than $ 100 without resistance. The decentralized Defi market that depends on the value of ETH is naturally not immune, such as the MakerDAO platform. MakerDAO's borrowing logic is that users over-collateralize ETH to lend USD stablecoin DAI, but when the value of ETH fell rapidly, a large number of loans fell below the threshold and the system had to be liquidated. In other words, the user's loan was not repaid. Mortgage of ETH is also not available.
So MakerDAO has a bad debt, the amount exceeds USD 4 million. In order to repay this bad debt, MakerDAO chooses to auction the collateral, that is, ETH, BAT, etc., and uses the stable currency DAI to bid. They need to use the auction proceeds to obtain repay loan.
Under normal circumstances, such auctions are not too accidental. The feeding system reports the current price of ETH, and the bidders will probably trade at a price slightly lower than the market price.
However, the background of this auction is the market's plunge. The transaction caused investors to intensive operations, which blocked the Ethereum network. It takes far more than usual gas fees to allow the miners to confirm the transfer as soon as possible.
According to the browser, on the morning of the 13th, if only 44 gwei is used, the transfer confirmation time on the Ethereum network will take 72958 seconds, which is 20 hours.
The MakerDAO debt auction on the Ethereum network has also been affected. The blockage of the network has prevented bidders with low gas costs from bidding in time, which caused participants to bid 0 DAI / ETH to drop the hammer.
It can also be seen from the transaction records that the auction of 0 DAI was indeed successful. These lucky bidders only paid a transfer fee of US $ 1 and transferred 0 amount to obtain an ETH worth US $ 122 at the time.
These people are undoubtedly fortunate. The external environment helped them to become the only game participants. The exchange of $ 1 for $ 120 and a profit of 11900% was much higher than the odds of players who risked bottom-swinging in fluctuations.
However, from another perspective, MakerDAO's auction is to use the DAI obtained from the auction to pay off debts. However, due to network congestion, this situation has caused several free gifts, and MakerDAO's debt repayment is even worse.
Pick up goods by luck
If it is said that MakerDAO launches the auction, it is a helpless action of the team under extreme conditions. Bidders still need a bit of technical barriers to participate, but there is nothing to worry about, and there is almost no difficulty and cost.
On the evening of March 12, investors discovered that the LINK / USDT trading pair of the Binance trading platform experienced a short-term flash collapse and once fell to the bottom 0.0001 USD. What's going on?
Twitter netizens then asked Zhao Changpeng about the matter, and the latter's response was a shock. It turned out that someone had already launched the LINK trading pair as early as Binance, that is, on January 16 last year, a low was hung within 8 seconds after the real-time trading was opened. Price list, but it has not been closed because no fool will sell it at this price.
Unexpectedly, more than a year later, this pending order was sold "strangely". "At that time we had no price range restrictions. We will not cancel user orders." Zhao Changpeng said that the platform will not deny this order because the operation is completely reasonable.
It will not be rolled back for various reasons. In other words, even if LINK has experienced a large decline recently, at the current price of 2.3 US dollars, the profit of this transaction will exceed 2 million US dollars. US dollars, then he instantly won nearly 5 million US dollars.
The cost of 100 dollars, the income of 2.4 million dollars, a real profit.
In fact, similar examples of this kind of luck are not rare in the crypto industry. Except for Binance and the previous examples, BitMex and OKEx have also experienced similar situations, and more than once.
For example, on December 6, 2017, Binance's XRP / BTC trading pair experienced a breakdown of the list. In a very short period of time, the XRP price was oversold to 0.0000002 BTC, which is basically negligible. On January 29, 2018, the price of the ADA contract on BitMEX also fell to 0.00000005 US dollars, which was also nearly 0; another trading platform, OKEx, also saw a large amount of 0.002 USD on January 14, 2018. Case, according to the official statement at that time, "a certain trader" quickly sold a large amount of ETH through market orders within 12 minutes. Interestingly, at the time, some people analyzed that "a certain trader" was actually an official market-making robot, and "a large amount" of 100 million Ethereum was eventually sold for 20 dollars.
However, for ordinary people, if you want to encounter this kind of opportunity for leak detection, unless you are bored and place an order in advance, such a price is fleeting, and you ca n’t seize the opportunity simply by hand speed. In fact, at present, many trading platforms have actually adopted corresponding price amplitude filters, which specify the maximum / minimum price range of pending order prices. Oolong trading is very rare. Even if luck hits and catches up, it is very likely that the platform will intervene and the transaction will be rolled back. This situation has not happened before.
Only this time, the trader who had placed an order on Binance for more than a year, even if he successfully leaked and successfully withdrew the coin, it can only be said that he hit the Grand Canal.
Safe moving of bricks
Buying a certain kind of token on a crypto trading platform, and then selling the token to another trading platform, earning the price difference is a moving brick in the crypto circle. Moving bricks has been an arbitrage behavior since the birth of the transaction. It belongs to a very old business. Arthur, the founder of BitMex, who now operates a trading platform, and Xu Mingxing of OKEx, were once members of the army of moving bricks. . This kind of brick moving was the most prosperous at the end of 2017. At that time, trading platforms such as Bithumb in South Korea also called the "Kimchi premium" due to the price difference between other platforms. Moving bricks is a kind of risk-free arbitrage. Players use energy to gain profits, although the single profit is not much. However, with the maturity of trading robots and quantitative trading teams, the spread of tokens between multiple regions or platforms is often wiped out in a matter of seconds. Therefore, the profit margin of manually moving bricks is now very small.
Of course, it is not to say that there is no opportunity. Such an opportunity to make money is indeed hidden under the volatile market.
"Buy at a low price and sell at a high price, this is simply the most secure way to make money in a plunging market!" Investors are excited about cryptography. Starting at 6:30 pm on March 12, cryptocurrencies have experienced sharp fluctuations, while Binance and Huobi When the bitcoin spread between the three trading platforms and OKEx was the largest, it even reached more than 700 US dollars. The discerning player quickly discovered the opportunity, "For half an hour, I made more than 10,000 with a principal of 20,000 yuan. Such an opportunity is usually not available."
Buy and sell orders executed by the above investors at almost the same time, with a spread of nearly $ 450
When it comes to moving bricks, time is money. It is definitely too late to shuttle between multiple trading platforms. Many investors have now transferred the "battlefield" to the platform that focuses on aggregated trading. "The aggregated trading platform integrates the depth of multiple platforms. As long as there is a price difference between supported platforms, users only use One account can be bought and sold on multiple platforms, and it can be operated in a few seconds. "Wu Ling, who seized the opportunity from the extreme market in these two days, made nearly 50,000 by moving bricks in just a few hours. Yuan, the principal is no more than tens of thousands of yuan.
It is understood that there are already multiple platforms targeting the aggregate trading business on the market, and the opportunity to move bricks does not often appear, unless similar to the extreme market appearing in the past few days, or some unique tokens, there may be soaring and plunging. Opportunities, as a whole, are not met a few times a year, and they are fleeting.
However, whether it is MakerDAO auctions, ultra-low-priced pending order transactions, or arbitrage moving bricks under the new situation, these opportunities to make money are actually small probability and cannot be used as conventional investment methods.
These seemingly easy profits are in the end a few people. Many people are trapped in extreme quotes in stuns. Most investors have no assets left on the trading platform overnight.
Maybe this also makes many investors lose confidence in the industry, but in fact, in the face of such a market, after finishing our mood, we are more learning from changes.
Learn the reasons for this disaster, learn the logic of the main control panel, learn what signals were ignored before the disaster, and prepare for the next time. At the same time, we can also see the development of the industry. For example, when all centralized trading platforms are down, DEX can still be implemented despite various problems.
I hope that everyone still has confidence in the blockchain and cryptocurrency industries. Finally, I would like to remind everyone that the recent market changes are unpredictable. Please pay attention to risks and exercise caution.

so, it's been 4 months since i started this journey and i gotta say that NR has really re-vitalized my personal interest in home-automation, as well as, my HA and whole house setup.
i've done more in the past 4 months, to streamline my setup and adding new automations than i've done in the three years since i started using HA somewhere around v0.24.x'ish. i got that shit dialed in now.
(also some credit to EspHome for being awesome, despite having meh documentation. yeah, i said it. meh👏doc👏u👏men👏ta👏shun)
at this point i have about 36 NR tabs. some are just testing, or playing around with a particular component/palette, but most have at least one flow on it that is live and in use.
so, i thought i'd break some of them down for you guys, 'barney style+':

In light of the upcoming Dark Harvest nerfs, Riot really needs to reevaluate Kha'Zix...

Kha'Zix Rework Proposal

We can all agree these upcoming Dark Harvest changes have completely undermined the idea of what Kha'Zix's role as a unique assassin should be. With that understood we have to question where Riot will be taking him next..
I've come to the conclusion that these nerfs, not only are they completely crippling to our favorite bug, but they're too crippling and that's the thing.. These nerfs are so large that it leads us to believe they're working on an upcoming REWORK, yeah you heard that right, rework. Not only will they aim to rebalance Kha'Zix as a champion but add back his unique identity as an assassin so without further ado let's get into the proposed balance changes.

Lastly let's look at the scaling IQ damage, not only will this reward players who are more intelligent but it'll also give something that less intellectually gifted players can strive for.

Kha'Zix's Q has been fundamentally flawed since the rework done in early 2017, while we can all agree its a vast downgrade compared to the old Q (BONUS DAMAGE WITH Q EVO ANYONE?).

  • Void Assault - Active - (Unchanged) Kha'Zix enters invisibility for 1.5 seconds, acquiring Unseen Threat Unseen Threat, gaining 40% bonus movement speed, and Ghost ghosting while stealthed.
Thanks for reading everyone

Long-run favors BTC over BCH, here's why...

There are many reasons why BTC will remain the gold standard and not BCH.
BTC Advantages over BCH:
BCH has:
I have been watching Bitcoin for a long time, and the main thing I've learned is don't overreact to flashes in the pan, weak hands, and anytime a "panic" is happening. What really pays in the long-run is sticking with things that have a proven track record, a high quality set of software engineers and computer scientists, and a critical mass of ecosystem. Nothing compares to Bitcoin in these regards!!
Bitcoin has a very bright future ahead!

What is a Cryptocurrency Wallet?

What is a Cryptocurrency Wallet?
Use this straightforward guide to learn what a cryptocurrency wallet is, how they work and discover which ones are the best on the market.
A cryptocurrency wallet is a software program that stores private and public keys and interacts with various blockchain to enable users to send and receive digital currency and monitor their balance. If you want to use Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency, you will need to have a digital wallet.
How do they work?
Millions of people use cryptocurrency wallets, but there is considerable misunderstanding about how they work. Unlike traditional ‘pocket’ wallets, digital wallets don’t store currency. In fact, currencies don’t get stored in any single location or exist anywhere in any physical form. All that exists are records of transactions stored on the blockchain.
Cryptocurrency wallets are software programs that store your public and private keys and interface with various blockchain so users can monitor their balance, send money and conduct other operations. When a person sends you bitcoins or any other type of digital currency, they are essentially signing off ownership of the coins to your wallet’s address. To be able to spend those coins and unlock the funds, the private key stored in your wallet must match the public address the currency is assigned to. If public and private keys match, the balance in your digital wallet will increase, and the senders will decrease accordingly. There is no actual exchange of real coins. The transaction is signified merely by a transaction record on the blockchain and a change in balance in your cryptocurrency wallet.
What are the different types of Cryptocurrencywallets?
There are several types of wallets that provide different ways to store and access your digital currency. Wallets can be broken down into three distinct categories – software, hardware, and paper. Software wallets can be a desktop, mobile or online.
Are Cryptocurrency wallets secure?
Wallets are secure to varying degrees. The level of security depends on the type of wallet you use (desktop, mobile, online, paper, hardware) and the service provider. A web server is an intrinsically riskier environment to keep your currency compared to offline. Online wallets can expose users to possible vulnerabilities in the wallet platform which can be exploited by hackers to steal your funds. Offline wallets, on the other hand, cannot be hacked because they simply aren’t connected to an online network and don’t rely on a third party for security.
Although online wallets have proven the most vulnerable and prone to hacking attacks, diligent security precautions need to be implemented and followed when using any wallet. Remember that no matter which wallet you use, losing your private keys will lead you to lose your money. Similarly, if your wallet gets hacked, or you send money to a scammer, there is no way to reclaim lost currency or reverse the transaction. You must take precautions and be very careful!
Although Bitcoin is by far the most well-known and popular digital currency, hundreds of newcryptocurrencies (referred to as altcoins) have emerged, each with distinctive ecosystems and infrastructure. If you’re interested in using a variety of cryptocurrencies, the good news is, you don’t need set up a separate wallet for each currency. Instead of using a cryptocurrency wallet that supports a single currency, it may be more convenient to set up a multi-currency wallet which enables you to use several currencies from the same wallet.
Are there any transaction fees?
There is no straightforward answer here.
In general, transaction fees are a tiny fraction of traditional bank fees. Sometimes fees need to be paid for certain types of transactions to network miners as a processing fee, while some transactions don’t have any fee at all. It’s also possible to set your own fee. As a guide, the median transaction size of 226 bytes would result in a fee of 18,080 satoshis or $0.12. In some cases, if you choose to set a low fee, your transaction may get low priority, and you might have to wait hours or even days for the transaction to get confirmed. If you need your transaction completed and confirmed promptly, then you might need to increase the amount you’re willing to pay. Whatever wallet you end up using, transaction fees are not something you should worry about. You will either pay minuscule transaction fees, choose your own fees or pay no fees at all. A definite improvement from the past!
Are cryptocurrency wallets anonymous?
Kind of, but not really. Wallets are pseudonymous. While wallets aren’t tied to the actual identity of a user, all transactions are stored publicly and permanently on the blockchain. Your name or personal street address won’t be there, but data like your wallet address could be traced to your identity in a number of ways. While there are efforts underway to make anonymity and privacy easier to achieve, there are obvious downsides to full anonymity. Check out the DarkWallet project that is looking to beef up privacy and anonymity through stealth addresses and coin mixing.
Which Cryptocurrency wallet is the best?
There is an ever-growing list of options. Before picking a wallet, you should, however, consider how you intend to use it.
Bread Wallet
Bread Wallet is a simple mobile Bitcoin digital wallet that makes sending bitcoins as easy as sending an email. The wallet can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play. Bread Wallet offers a standalone client, so there is no server to use when sending or receiving bitcoins. That means users can access their money and are in full control of their funds at all times. Overall, Bread Wallet’s clean interface, lightweight design and commitment to continually improve security, make the application safe, fast and a pleasure to use for both beginners and experienced users alike.
Mycelium
Advanced users searching for a Bitcoin mobile digital wallet, should look no further than mycelium. The Mycelium mobile wallet allows iPhone and Android users to send and receive bitcoins and keep complete control over bitcoins. No third party can freeze or lose your funds! With enterprise-level security superior to most other apps and features like cold storage and encrypted PDF backups, an integrated QR-code scanner, a local trading marketplace and secure chat amongst others, you can understand why Mycelium has long been regarded as one of the best wallets on the market.
Exodus
Exodus is a relatively new and unknown digital wallet that is currently only available on the desktop. It enables the storage and trading of Bitcoin, Ether, Litecoins, Dogecoins and Dash through an incredibly easy to use, intuitive and beautiful interface. Exodus also offers a very simple guide to backup your wallet. One of the great things about Exodus is that it has a built-in shapeshift exchange that allows users to trade altcoins for bitcoins and vice versa without leaving the wallet.
Copay
Created by Bitpay, Copay is one of the best digital wallets on the market. If you’re looking for convenience, Copay is easily accessed through a user-friendly interface on desktop, mobile or online. One of the best things about Copay is that it’s a multi-signature wallet so friends or business partners can share funds. Overall, Copay has something for everyone. It’s simple enough for entry-level users but has plenty of additional geeky features that will impress more experienced players as well.
Jaxx
Jaxx is a multi-currency Ether, Ether Classic, Dash, DAO, Litecoin, REP, Zcash, Rootstock, Bitcoin wallet and user interface. Jaxx has been designed to deliver a smooth Bitcoin and Ethereum experience. It is available on a variety of platforms and devices (Windows, Linux, Chrome, Firefox, OSX, Android mobile & tablet, iOS mobile & tablet) and connects with websites through Firefox and Chrome extensions. Jaxx allows in wallet conversion between Bitcoin, Ether and DAO tokens via Shapeshift and the import of Ethereum paper wallets. With an array of features and the continual integration of new currencies, Jaxx is an excellent choice for those who require a multi-currency wallet.
Armory
Armory is an open source Bitcoin desktop wallet perfect for experienced users that place emphasis on security. Some of Armory’s features include cold storage, multi-signature transactions, one-time printable backups, multiple wallets interface, GPU-resistant wallet encryption, key importing, key sweeping and more. Although Armory takes a little while to understand and use to it’s full potential, it’s a great option for more tech-savvy bitcoiners looking to keep their funds safe and secure.
Trezor is a hardware Bitcoin wallet that is ideal for storing large amounts of bitcoins. Trezor cannot be infected by malware and never exposes your private keys which make it as safe as holding traditional paper money. Trezor is open source and transparent, with all technical decisions benefiting from wider community consultation. It’s easy to use, has an intuitive interface and is Windows, OS X and Linux friendly. One of the few downsides of the Trezor wallet is that it must be with you to send bitcoins. This, therefore, makes Trezor best for inactive savers, investors or people who want to keep large amounts of Bitcoin highly secure.
Ledger Nano
The Ledger Wallet Nano is a new hierarchical deterministic multisig hardware wallet for bitcoin users that aims to eliminate a number of attack vectors through the use of a second security layer. This tech-heavy description does not mean much to the average consumer, though, which is why I am going to explain it in plain language, describing what makes the Ledger Wallet Nano tick. In terms of hardware, the Ledger Wallet Nano is a compact USB device based on a smart card. It is roughly the size of a small flash drive, measuring 39 x 13 x 4mm (1.53 x 0.51 x 0.16in) and weighing in at just 5.9g.
Pros:
Cons:
Green Address
Green Address is a user-friendly Bitcoin wallet that’s an excellent choice for beginners. Green Address is accessible via desktop, online or mobile with apps available for Chrome, iOS, and Android. Features include multi-signature addresses & two-factor authentications for enhanced security, paper wallet backup, and instant transaction confirmation. A downside is that Green Address is required to approve all payments, so you do not have full control over your spending
Blockchain (dot) info
Blockchain is one of the most popular Bitcoin wallets. Accessing this wallet can be done from any browser or smartphone. Blockchain.info provides two different additional layers. For the browser version, users can enable two-factor authentication, while mobile users can activate a pin code requirement every time the wallet application is opened. Although your wallet will be stored online and all transactions will need to go through the company’s servers, Blockchain.info does not have access to your private keys. Overall, this is a well-established company that is trusted throughout the Bitcoin community and makes for a solid wallet to keep your currency.

Planetside 2 Story(fanfic, lore)

Hello fellow farmers and farmees. I have been playing the planetmans since beta. I have lurked the reddit hard for some years now. I have also been creating and writing a fanfic or Lore story for the game we all love to hate. I decided to drop it here to see what kind of feedback I can gain in respect to my writing style, Lore content, story feel. Overall I would be interested in knowing if anyone is interested in this type of story. I have 2 chapters completed so far. I will finish this story. This story is basically my love letter to the Devs and players that make planetside 2 possible. Sorry for the wall of text, if I cannot format well.
Alert Zero: A Planetside Love story
Prologue
It was just another day. I (Coreh, a member of the illustrious nation of earth known as the Terran Republic, standing 5’5” and just turning into my 30’s with an athletic body from boot camp workouts that thankfully hides my nerdy interior) woke up, felt the icy cold steel on my toes, as it tingled the hairs up my legs. I looked into the mirror as the lights slowly dimmed on, activated by my presence and movement.
“Ugh… why did I choose this again?” I grumbled to myself staring into my cold green eyes. This was my daily waking routine. Get up, get cold, grumble about my choices. “Oh ya, it wasn’t a choice…”
“Welcome to Auraxis, they said. So much opportunity so many career choices, so much to discover…” I proclaimed in my head the ads I heard as I awoke from the hyper sleep chamber upon entry into new galactic space. I can still remember the Terran Republic Military Officials shuffling everyone into the Awakening chambers to get people adjusted after coming out of such a long, deep, sleep. It was basically as if being in a coma, that type of sleep. We were awake in our own little dream worlds being sustained by a nutritional jelly goo for however many years have passed. I can’t recall. 100’s, maybe 1000’s or even tens of thousands of years have passed since I left Earth to start anew in some distant far off galaxy. Our age was not affected as the jelly goo kept us in a state of perfect animated reanimation, or something like that, I still look like I did when I signed up for this voyage. This of course was spearheaded by a group of commanders of TR, The Terran Republic. Yep, the good ole TR. Essentially they are Earth and what Earth stands for. Gone are the days of countries and cities being controlled by individual makers for personal benefits. Lo and behold after a few charismatic speeches and a few battles that ravaged our blue marble of a planet. People came together. I don’t mean like-minded people either, I mean the whole world came together. It was globally decided that we would become a world power. A world people. We became the Terran Republic! Everything else about this eventful time of history gets foggy and political which didn’t interest me in the time before embarking on this voyage of discovery and hope. Anyways, what was I doing again…
Chapter 1
I run my hand through my blonde, fading blonde, sometimes dirty blonde, maybe its red hair now?... whatever… as I walk to the washroom 5metres from my bed.
“It’s important to know your distances they said” I repeat the words as I make a military salute to the mirror. I proceed to drain my body of its fluids built in the night.
'That was a good piss' I think to myself. I pause, and stare down into the urinal bowl. They still make them the same way as back on Earth. I wonder if that will ever change. Of course now they are more in tune to the way they were in Japan with the fancy buttons that make the water squirt up and tickle your butt. Heck it will even sing a song from the top 10 radio list if you want it to. I mused over the toilet singing as I dropped an imaginary load into it. I smile. I enter the kitchen area and begin making toast. I tell the kitchen-computer what kind of bread I want and it is created “Wheat bread, lightly toasted”. I then tell the computer how to prepare it for me “No Butter with lots of blueberry and strawberry jam”. Within a couple nano-cycles, its finished. The jam isn’t real it just has a similar flavouring to it.
“3 minute fresh made bread turned toast” I proclaim to myself as I hold the toast up in the air before promptly chewing off the crust and eating inward.
“Telecast on” I say loudly. The wall shimmers, then flashes, a bright glow declaring it has been turned to the ‘on mode’. A steady stream of images showing the news highlights mixed with a sports ticker running along the bottom. Bitcoin down another 10000% it shows me in a side bar. Certs are always rising, now up to a percentage too dumb to say. It’s the known currency now.
“Certs…certs? Who would have thought that Certs would become the global currency?” I shake my head, and look away as if I can spiritually feel my Bitcoin bank account shriveling up. An ad for Nanite Systems newest and hottest gizmo gadget pops up on screen.
‘Someday I’ll be able to afford one of those’ I think to myself as I turn away and walk to the bedroom to get dressed.
I wait at the bus stop. I feel the cool warmth, due to the two moons that orbit around and one large sun that this planet orbits, the weather can get a little strange. ‘Lots of clouds today’ I think to myself looking up into the grey-red sky. I recall how the environment scientists said one day a part of this Auraxis ocean completely dried up and receded, much like my hairline. They, and I mean the Scientist groups for the TR, immediately flocked to the scene and began digging around in the coral and sea-beds. They found some gigantic bones and even some strange structures. I recall seeing on a panel display at the lab, there was an important broadcast which interrupted my science data mine and they focused in on this large coral type object that was spewing a kind of red smoke into the air. It was not radioactive nor was it hot, they said it wasn’t steam either. I can’t quite put my finger on what it was, but I vaguely remember it being a plasma or energy. It reminded me of a computer game that was popular some time ago wherein three warring factions of alien nature would mine minerals and require a vesper gas, haha, good times. I smirk to myself as I stand along the city roadway. Ad Hoc type buildings are positioned on either side of the street. The buildings all look pretty much the same with minor differences. Military structures that were quick to put up and easy to maintain. Some are living quarters, others are used as makeshift restaurants or businesses. All grey, all boring, all TR. I look around myself.
“She’s not here yet…?” I mutter and look at the hologram display emitting from my watch. The sky has become cloudless and bright as the two moons sink over the horizon giving way to the bright and dominant orange star we now call our Sun. I kick my shoes onto the sidewalk metal in anticipation that she shows up and notices the cool new green and blue tie I have on. I straighten my tie and look at the hologram and shift my weight around my feet, giving a slow twist to my ankles.
“Hey Coreh!” a female voice yells down the street. I look up, and shrug.
“Oh hey bra.” I say with less satisfaction had it been someone else instead. The girl that yelled is my good friend on this planet, Brit. She is running full on to the bus stop, her brown hair joyfully twisting in the air and wind around her. Little sparkles of colour; purples, pinks, and blues, come to life in her hair as it moves in the sunlight. She’s wearing a long jacket that hides her figure. Though her heaving bosom does not hide so easily. We once had a thing, but it was very passing and not serious. We had kissed before and I got some boob in hand, I did find out she was a full handed 34DD bust, and her big lips did make for some good kisses, here, there and everywhere, I smile a sad smile to myself because I never did actually get to the everywhere part. She is almost my height I’d say she was 5’5”. Her round lightly tanned face has a very caring demeanor to it, which makes her eyes seem very full and alive. She is full of energy and bothers me to no end these days. A doctor by trade here on Auraxis. She’s a good friend, but annoying.
Brit catches my eyes glancing to her bouncing chest. She glares at me then pulls her hand into a fist and pelts me on the arm. She smiles. “What time did you get here today? Don’t tell me you came early to make a good impression on the new girl that moved into the area, huh?!” Brit prods me with questions and puts on a show of me fake impressing with head tilts and small toothy smiles, waving her hands and making strongman arm motions to show off bicep and tricep muscles while twirling to show off as if that’s what I would do to impress someone. For the record I wouldn’t.
“No..no, it’s not... ya” I stammer to try and hide my words, but I can’t hide from my friend Brit. She smiles her ‘I know everything smile’ and punches me in the arm, again.
“Ow...” I replied dully. My eyes glancing at her and back at the impact site where Brit punched me. I rub my shoulder as if to magically heal it with a soothing motion.
“Oh be quiet you big baby!” Brit snaps back at me. “It’s nothing some Nanites can’t fix!” she says while closing her eyes with a large toothy smile and pointing her finger into the air like she just solved a riddle.
I look over at Brit and stick out my tongue and squint my eyes. I am overcome with that feeling of being a kid trying to be mad, but not really mad. I amuse myself with the thought. I stare off into nothingness and sigh as if I wasted my time by being here so early. I run my hand through my short hair, and give it a shake. I ponder if I’m going to go bald, with all this anxiousness of the new girl. A few vehicles go by, and an airship slowly pulls into its landing zone. The airships or ‘AirBus’ are based off an old fighter jet technology, that has been greatly improved upon since its creation, wherein the thrusters are capable of moving into a downward thrust as well as horizontal. I think it was called a ‘Harrier Jump Jet’, but it has been awhile since I cared about old Earth history and technology. These ‘AirBus’ are codenamed as ‘Valkyries’. I take one more long look down the dusty red-brown roadway, no she isn’t here today I guess. I let out a breath of air that I was holding in anticipation, just in case I saw her.
“Here comes the bus! Coreh! Coreh!? Hey get your head out of the clouds!” Brit yells at me two inches from my face. I can feel the cool mint of her breath on my cheek.
I snap out of my own head “Oh, ya…” I say wispily.
The Sunderer pulls up. It’s a bus that is built like a tank with huge steel panels and 6 wheels that look like they can survive a rocket volley from a Mossie, the Ace Fighter of the skies for the TR. I wanted to fly a Mossie ever since I knew about them. Shaped almost like an insect from Earth they say. A large caliber Heavy Machine Gun was mounted to the nose right under the cockpit. It looks like a straw, kind of. I heard it gets its namesake from that aspect. I guess they had these bugs or insects on Earth that would suck your blood dry if you gave them the chance. They would attack in swarms and completely drain a person of all their internal fluids. Scary times on that old dirt ball. The Mosquito, one of the scariest things I’ve ever heard of.
Thanks for reading! This is but a small sample of what I have actually written so far. My bad if I dumped too much at once.

In 2013, I built an algorithm that made predictions about BTC price fluctuations and mining difficulty. (Discussion on how Bitcoin is becoming crash proof, and why Wall Street needs to trim the fat.)

My algorithm showed a "rubber banding" effect. With outliers excluded from my data, it was 94% accurate. With outliers included with my data, it was still 85% accurate.
When difficulty sees large gains, price (USD valuation) will rise steadily, then begin dropping sharply.
When BTC to USD sees large gains, difficulty will change at a slower rate at first, then drop sharply in terms of growth proportion to it's standard deviations of movement.
We are currently witnessing this rubber band lag on difficulty fueled by the giant price increase.
As difficulty drops, more miners will enter the market, and liquidity in the "minted" supply of Bitcoins will increase.
Ultimately, from an economics standpoint, this transition will act as a harmonious correction in either direction, for either rubber banding case.
Bitcoin has a built-in harmonic motion between the liquid market, USD valuation, difficulty, and supply/demand liquidity.
My algorithm lines up with most of the hedge fund guys throwing out large 5 figure valuations for 2018.
I would declare with a degree of certainty above 50% that we will see a valuation of between $12,500 and $20,000 in early spring/late winter.
This will be followed by a gradual decline until near mid-end of Summer.
At which point valuation will begin increasing again, and will hit more... asinine valuations, near the end of 2018. [[This timing range of Summer to Winter of 2018 is the most logical location for a major bubble and crash event, according my current algorithms.]]
The real threat of a bubble exists still, BUT, Bitcoin has developed a resistance to massive market swings, and as it's overall USD valuation increases, the risk is dropping steeply.
You must consider that these days, for Bitcoin's valuation to move $50 USD, requires BILLIONS of USD in trade transactions to occur.
Since mainstream Wallstreet isn't a heavy player in Bitcoin still, this makes BTC immune/resistant to flash crashes, as most long term HODLers are "indoctrinated" and won't fall prey to panic. (Yet, few players in the Bitcoin space are not and could not throw around hundreds of millions of dollars just to create a synthetic pump or crash, unlike 2011-2013 when some larger whales could tip the whole market.)
The amount of liquid capital in BTC owned by "panicky public" is becoming a negligible amount in proportion, and will soon cease having any real effect on day to day valuations.
Financiers, wall street, hedge funds. If anyone in your financial department has an opinion within the realm of the following:
"I don't understand it."
"It's a scam."
"It's not worth looking into."
"It is too volatile."
I would solemnly consider a one to one meeting with that employee. Bitcoin's market cap is higher than the majority of Fortune 500 companies annual revenue. Bitcoin's daily trade magnitudes are between 2 billion and 10 billion USD worth of DAILY active movement.
If an employee is refusing to even look into it, because they "don't understand" or "believe it is a scam"
Make them look into it, or fire their negligent ass. That level of ignorance is equally as bad, as if your company had a major competitor rising in their market space, and this employee refused to research that competitor at all.
That's the type of value movement going on now.
Tulip mania boomed and exploded in roughly 2-3 years.
This is NOT a tulip situation.
Bitcoin was established in 2010 and has had growth outpacing every other financial investment possible for the LAST SEVEN YEARS.

First impression of BitCoin poker from a USA player

First some background, I am a US player who hasn't played a lick since Black Friday. I have never used BitCoin before (after reading up on it though I am definitely intrigued), and I didn't want to spend any real money (at least not yet).
So instead of going the route of buying BitCoins I set up a miner on my ATI 7950 and let it run for ~2 days until I had .15 BTC (~$1.95 US). I then transfered that to my BitCoin Wallet. Side note. The BitCoin client app that stores your wallet takes a LONG time to sync. It's downloading a ~3GB file that contains all BitCoin transactions EVER. I have a 50MBs connection and it took about 24 hours to catch up which is terrible and I sent them a bug report. I was able to mine in the mean time using a separate app that I got from the BTCGuild.com mining pool. So as previously stated it took about two days to get to the point were I could actually make a deposit.
The card room I picked was SealsWithClubs.eu and they had my transfer almost instantly. That said it took a bit of poking around to make sure I did send the transfer to the right place. It's very obvious that this is a small scale room. That said I was able to quickly sit down at a table and start playing.
Software wise the room is very basic. I don't currently have HEM or PT installed but since the room is flash based in side of your browser I doubt the HUDS will work. There is a way to view your hand history for the table your at but I didn't see a way to save HH locally so I don't know that you can even add the data to your program of choice. On top of that I tried copying and pasting a hand history to weaktight.com and handconverter.com neither of which could read the hand. So for serious play right now it's kind of a bust.
That said I did almost quadruple my funds in about 2.5 hours so that's not bad. All in all it did scratch my poker itch. While the software leaves a lot to be desired I think I will keep playing and encourage others to do so with the hope that it will encourage other rooms to start taking US players with BitCoins.

Bitcoin Mining Rig-Maker Holds 'Fire-Sale' After Hash-Rate Collapses Again

Despite the collapse of the cryptocurrency market in 2018, the Bitcoin mining hash rate has positively diverged for most of the year.
However, as we first reported on Nov. 20, a turning point developed from Aug. 27 to Nov. 01 that would ultimately reverse the direction of the hash rate and sparked crypto fears that Bitcoin mining has become unprofitable for many.
According to Autonomous Research LLP. Fundstrat Global Advisors LLC., there is consolidation among miners that perform complex calculations to generate the digital currency after the recent plunge rendered many of them unprofitable. Fundstrat notes that 100,000 individual miners have been shut down in the last several months as mining operations go bust.
“We are entering in the phase when there’s a flushing out of the market,”said Malachi Salcido, head of Wenatchee, Washington-based Salcido Enterprises, which has one of the largest mining operations in North American with 22 megawatts of power deployed and 20 megawatts in development.
“There will be relatively few operations that come out the other side.”

According to Bloomberg, most mining operations are profitable above Bitcoin $4,500. Price has not closed above that level since Nov. 21. This time last year, Bitcoin traded in the $16,000 to almost $20,000 range.

Salcido told Bloomberg that only a few miners could afford to stay in the game. He said margins before costs like depreciation and taxes dropped from about 40% to 20% during the slide in hash rate, but margins jumped back up to 40% as smaller rivals closed shop.
According to Lex Sokolin, the London-based global director of fintech strategy at Autonomous, said the hash rate had collapsed 36% from its peak in August, problem-solving difficulty has dropped about 10%, making it easier for mining rigs that have weathered the storm to earn Bitcoins.
According to the data from Blockchain.com, the difficulty to mine bitcoin and the hash rate has both declined by over 15%, the second biggest drop in Bitcoin's 10-year history. The first plunge occurred in 2011, as the rate plunged 18%.
While that is great news for big miners, the consolidation increases huge risks for traders and HODL community vested in the network’s success. With fewer mining operations, there is a chance that several miners could partner together to execute a so-called 51% attack, according to Ryan Selkis, co-founder of crypto researcher Messari. In such a maneuver, controlling miners can reverse transactions and stop new ones from confirming -- potentially making off with billions in other people’s money.
With millions of mining rigs being deleveraged from the network, we must ask one question: where do old rigs end up?
In short, it seems like many have ended up on eBay:

And worse still, RT reports that the world’s second largest bitcoin mining hardware maker has held a flash sale of its products to “celebrate” the recent crash of the most popular cryptocurrency, while minor players are being squeezed from the market.

The belated Black Friday was announced by Chinese company Canaan Creative, which was behind the first bitcoin mining ASICs, last week. Speaking to CoinDesk, a representative of the firm, Steven Mosher, saidall the company’s miners can be purchased for $200 each until stock depletion.
As crypto prices plunge, Canaan Creative considered the situation as a way of cheering on a new period in the cryptocurrencies development and the right time “to celebrate” being “at a bottom.”
“I’m looking and I see [bitcoin] rebound, it’s up to $4,300 and my thinking was, I’m going to celebrate. Usually if [bitcoin] goes up, we would put prices up. Well, I thought I’m going to try something different,” Mosher told CoinDesk.
Mosher also stressed that it’s a kind of test to see who can do business in the highly volatile market, saying they want “big miners” to stay “committed and hopeful.”
